SCARYMON or "Scary Monsters", the Monster Doodles
Made
Roughly Around In School
These...things...were done when I was in school, roughly around middle school. I think? The art goes back to those days as I was heavily distracted during
middle school because classes got so boring sometimes. They would get so boring that I would be...doodling. You got it. Henceforth, SCARYMON was made.
But why was it made? What is this SCARYMON thing? What possessed
me to even make such a thing like SCARYMON?
SCARYMON is a series of monsters like POKEMON "Pocket Monsters", DIGIMON "Digital Monsters", DRAGON WARRIOR MONSTERS, MONSTER RANCHER, or related television shows, only in my mind, SCARYMON
was a bit more closer to DIGIMON since DIGIMON was very odd. It was a bit darker than usual kids shows unlike POKEMON which was child friendly, for the
most part. In my mind, monsters were supposed to be scary, henceforth, I made SCARYMON. SCARYMON, I suppose, could be for middle schoolers through
teenagers, maybe early adults.
SCARYMON started out as doodles and then it came into surface. And then I made close
(now) to 3000 of them in total, all the way until me 30's. I thought that
was cool. The designs started to become a little bit more elaborate over the years rather than these little weird dorky looking drawings I did when I
was 6-12. Looking back on the creations I think a lot of them are completely awkward looking. You can find the series I have been doing located in the links

Though looking at them now makes me think awkwardly, as some
of them were really just done on the whim, and not a lot of
'thought' I guess was going on. Monsters made now have
more 'thought' - rather some game knowledge applied to them such
as a monster class, and their element or type. It became
more game like after playing more and more of those style of
games, and the monsters got a lot better and actually felt kinda
fluid, quirky, but not as strange as a monster or enemy in
Earthbound, where you quite literally, get in a fight with an
abstract painting - referencing Earthbound the SUPER NINTENDO
version. That's pretty weird.
